From humble beginnings to becoming a beacon of hope in our communities
2020
Idea Conception
Serenity Beacon Trust was conceived as a grassroots idea born out of the need to respond to growing social challenges affecting vulnerable communities, particularly women, children, and youth.
2020–2021
Community Engagement & Needs Assessment
Focused on informal community engagement, listening sessions, and consultations with youth groups, women leaders, educators, and local stakeholders to identify priority thematic areas.
2021–2022
Content Creation & Awareness Building
Began creating engaging digital and community-focused content including advocacy messaging, educational posts, and storytelling around social justice, empowerment, and climate action.
2022–2023
Volunteer Acquisition & Capacity Building
Attracted passionate volunteers including youth mentors, community mobilizers, and professionals. Built a values-driven team committed to service, accountability, and community empowerment.
2023–2024
Website Design & Digital Presence
Invested in website design and digital presence to showcase mission, programs, impact stories, and opportunities for engagement, donations, and partnerships.
2025
Formal Registration
Formally registered as a Community-Based Organization on February 28th, 2025. This milestone enables legal operations, governance structures, and scaling impact across thematic areas.

Our Story
Founded on Principles of Hope, Rights, and Community Partnership
Serenity Beacon Trust (SBT) is registered in Kenya as a community-based organization that partners with communities to provide holistic, people-centered care. Our approach is rights-based, trauma-informed, and focused on accessibility. We provide support across several thematic areas, including gender-based violence response, child education and mentorship, climate resilience and action, community health and wellbeing, and economic empowerment for vulnerable groups.
